Becca Friesen

BOARD MEMBER

Becca Friesen is the Flight Operations (FOP) - Line Operations General Manager at Delta Air Lines. Her team is responsible for Emergency Management, International/Domestic/Supplemental Operations, Flight Crew Reporting and FOP Duty Pilot Managers. 

 

Becca joined Delta in 2013 as an Internal Evaluation Program (IEP) Manager in Corporate Safety, Security and Compliance where she was responsible for auditing FOP. She transitioned to an Air Safety Investigator and investigated accidents, incidents, and irregularities internally and with the NTSB. She then became the Supplemental Operations Manager for FOP coordinating charters, maintenance, and delivery flights. Becca was recently the Manager for U.S. and Canada and worked cross-divisionally with Operations & Customer Center (OCC), Airport Customer Service (ACS), and In-Flight Services (IFS) to support pilots. In this role, she managed the FOP Duty Manager team, who serve as pilot and operations advocates in the OCC. 

 

Prior to Delta, Becca was the IEP Manager for World Airways. Additionally, she was enlisted in the U.S. Air Force for 6 years as an A-10 Weapons Loader and Maintainer. 

 

Passionate about investing in women and youth, Becca is an active member of the local Women in Aviation chapter, having served as Membership Chair, President, and Board Director. She also volunteers as a Youth Leader and Foster Care Team Lead at church.

 

She holds a BS in Professional Aeronautics and MS in Safety Systems and Space Operations from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Becca has a Private Pilot and Flight Dispatch License and is a Chairman’s Club Honoree. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her 19 nieces and nephews, as well as traveling and DIY projects.
