Britta Bynum is a CNC Industrial Machine Operator in Engine Maintenance with Delta Air Lines. Britta started her journey in aviation in 2011 as an aircraft support mechanic working in cabin maintenance. Over a decade she chased logbook right ups on the line on domestic and international aircraft alongside an unforgettable crew that trained her and supported her throughout her career. Transitioning to the engine shop was a slower pace but came with new skill sets. Britta’s leadership allowed her to learn new equipment to run parts through repair to get her qualification needed for her current role. Britta is the only female in her department that holds her title and drives her to volunteer and speak at many Delta and Wheels Down South outreaches.

 

Britta’s passion is sharing her career with young aviators to pursue aerospace, supporting her chapter, and hopefully creating a more equally driven world in aviation for her daughter. Her drive and support system comes with many thanks to family members also at Delta Air Lines.

 

Her favorite past times are trips to Walt Disney World with her family, teaching the two year old class at church, signing up for the occasional 10k, and finding new adventures with her husband and daughter.
