
Isabella Velarde
OUTREACH CO-CHAIR
Isabella Velarde is a First Officer for Endeavor Air, Delta’s regional carrier. She attended Auburn University, where she majored in Professional Flight with a minor in business receiving all her ratings. She then instructed at Skybound at Peachtree- Dekalb Airport where she got her CFI and CFII before leaving for the airlines in 2022. She is currently completing her master's at Florida Institute of Technology in Human Factors in Aeronautics. Her end goal is to be a Captain of an international wide-body aircraft for a legacy commercial airline carrier.
Isabella has been part of the Women in Aviation organization since 2018, where at Auburn University she graduated as President of their WAI collegiate chapter as well as holding other chapter positions prior. When she moved back to Atlanta she joined the Wheels Down South and is now the Outreach Co-Chair. Isabella loves being a part of Women in Aviation because her goal is to inspire as many as she can to go after and fulfill their dreams no matter where they come from. Her favorite WAI Events include the chapter's annual Girls in Aviation Day, where she is in charge of bringing in the static display aircraft, and the annual Women in Aviation Conference which she attends as a recruiter for her airline.
