Britta Bynum

President

Mrs Britta Bynum is a CNC Industrial Machine Operator in Engine Maintenance with Delta Air Lines. Britta started her journey in aviation in 2011 as an aircraft support mechanic working in cabin maintenance. Over a decade she chased logbook right ups on the line with domestic and international aircraft alongside an unforgettable crew that trained her and supported her throughout her career. Transitioning to the engine shop was a slower pace but came with new skill sets. Britta’s leadership allowed her to learn new equipment to run parts through repair to get her qualification needed for her current role.

Britta is the only female in her department that holds her title and drives her to volunteer and speak at many Delta and Wheels Down South outreaches. She has been on the Girls in Aviation Day Planning Committee for the past 3 years, and strives to make it better than the last every year! Britta is fully committed to investing in the next generation to secure the pipeline to aviation careers for many years to come.

When she is not immersed around aviation she loves spending time with her husband and daughter on adventures to the beach, disney, and fun parks. She loves taking in concerts at the local amphitheater with her mom. Most of all her favorite past times are sitting on the back porch playing with her daughter and the occasional excited scream “AIRPLANE” and pointing to the sky of one passing by.

Britta’s passion is sharing her career with young aviators to pursue aerospace, supporting her chapter, and hopefully creating a more equally driven world in aviation for her daughter. Her drive and support system comes with many thanks to family members also at Delta Air Lines.
